Botanical salves
Made with nourishing oils and botanicals infused with place, these salves are crafted to bring the quiet feeling of the coast to your everyday rituals.
Each jar is slow-infused with plants gathered from the shoreline and forest, capturing something subtle and real — the stillness of low tide, the softness of salt air, the grounding presence of the trees.
Simple, purposeful, and made to be used daily — for hands, for dry skin, for moments when you want to slow down and reconnect.

About Under the Cedars salve
Grounded, warm, and quietly familiar.
Our Under the Cedars botanical salve is inspired by the feeling of standing beneath the majestic cedars here at Surge Narrows: where the air softens, the light dims, and everything slows just a little. Cedar has long been valued for its calming, protective, and skin-supporting properties. In this salve, it’s paired with a base of nourishing oils and botanicals chosen for their ability to soothe dry, weathered, or sensitive skin.
The result is a simple, everyday salve that feels steady, gentle, and comforting rather than overpowering. It has a subtle and forest-y scent, softened to feel more like forest air than fragrance. Something you notice, but only just.
Use it on hands, cuticles, dry patches, or anywhere your skin needs a little extra care.
Crafted in small batches on the coast of British Columbia, using thoughtfully chosen ingredients and slow infusions.
A quiet kind of care, rooted in the forest.

Frequently asked
1. What is a salve?
A salve is a simple, oil-based balm made without water, designed to support and protect the skin. It creates a gentle barrier that helps lock in moisture while delivering the benefits of infused botanicals.
2. What can I use the salves for?
Our salves are made for everyday skin support — especially for dry hands, cuticles, rough patches, and areas that need a little extra care. They’re intentionally simple and versatile, meant to be reached for often.
3. How should I store my salve?
Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or sunlight.
Because it’s made with natural oils and butters, it may soften in warmth or firm up in cooler temperatures — this is completely normal.
4. Why do some ingredients have long or unfamiliar names?
Ingredient lists follow standard (INCI) naming requirements, which often use botanical or scientific names.
These names reflect the same natural ingredients used in the salves written in a globally recognized format.
5. Can I use this on my face?
Some people do, especially with simpler formulations.
However, facial skin can be more sensitive, so we recommend starting with a small amount and seeing how your skin responds.
